In her life's ups and downs, KATHERINE RUSSELL RICH once almost fell out of a
roller coaster, as a kid. But that was baby stuff compared to her adult
years, chronicled in The Red Devil: To Hell With Cancer--and Back, published
last fall Crown. As a writer, her work's appeared in DoubleTake, The New York
Times, and Tatler. As an editor, she's been on staff at GQ and Allure. As
her current project, she's at work on a novel.
